Mediterranean Diet May
Prevent Childhood Asthma

Fruits and veggies, wholegrain breads and cereals, legumes, and nuts are the hallmarks of a Mediterranean diet. A new study found that kids of moms who more closely followed this type of diet while pregnant were 66 percent less likely to have asthma symptoms by age 6½ years. A high intake of veggies, fish, and legumes seemed to offer the most protection.
